You are a dark wizard betrayed by your own soldiers. With no allies left, you turn to forbidden blood magic to slaughter the traitors. But your power comes at a cost, as each cast drains your life. Survive long enough to face the demon king, and destroy him before you bleed out.

Level up by collecting orbs from fallen enemies. Choose one of three upgrades each time: 

  1. Bloodletting: Your blood magic becomes stronger
  2. Magnetism: Collect orbs from further away
  3. Fortune: Blood magic may not cost health points

Use the arrow keys to move around the map.

Hold Z to use your blood magic. Every use takes 1 hp from the player.

Collect hearts when they drop to restore health.

Once the player reaches level 10, the boss is summoned, and the real fight begins.

Good job, a game in the style of Vampire Survivor. Addictive and perfect for a fun time.

Okay, just beat the game with maxed out upgrades.
Intially I was gonn complain that I ant max out everything since enemies now dont spawn after like level 10.
But, likely not intended at all, the following happened:boss spawns, monsters stop spawning.

I kill pretty much all monsters.

However aside from the boss a single immortal bat and an immortal skeleton persist.

like you can "kill" them in the sense of shooting them and they drop points or hearts. but are up and about nonetheless. so yeah, I was getting chased by them for a while while running in circles shooting the skeleton behind me leaving a trail of points that I would later trail along once I got back.

did that for quite a few round before everything was maxed out.then did some run and gunning around the group to hit the boss with a few stray shots and take him down.

fun times! :-)


huh, so you let me continue playing after beating the boss, with mosnters spawning again?
nice. even level ps dont spftlock anymore, the level up screen jsut simply doesnt show up anymore for level ups.

looking nice.you could totally make the current final boss instead just a first boss, with game continuing toward a second boss and so on.

maybe even make new upgrades availlable after the first boss or making the upgrades have a maximum of 5 stages now isntead of the initial 3 or so, so you unlock stuff after beating the first boss.
or something.
Nice game either way :-)

--- Found bugs and other stuff (06.29.2025) ---

  • The game softlocks after reaching level 11, which forces you refresh the page or reopen the game file
  • The skeletons and boss do not deal damage to the player
  • While the boss is still beatable, the large number of monsters and the absence of a projectile speed upgrade make it harder to defeat him

agreed, simply more upgrades would be nice.
Also I dont know if the carb monster give more exp.
But I feel that they should since they take 2-3 hits to defeat while the normal guys die in one hit 

yup, game softlocks since after lvel 10 you got all the ugprades and level 11 then softlocks you in the upgrade screen :-/

Also how are you supposed to hit the demon king since he is always surrounded by tons of minions?

Thanks for the feedback! I was able to release a new version of the game today following the jam. It should address most of these issues, including the level 10 and 11 locks, no more enemies spawn when a boss is present, and a rapid fire upgrade for more variety and to make things more manageable. If you have any more feedback would love to hear it!
